Adam Fields is best known for his exceptional production skills in film and television. Something he’s proven time and time again with movies such as Donnie Darko, The Breakfast Club, Ali, Limitless, Great Balls Of Fire, Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For, and the list goes on.

As an entrepreneur, he founded Preview Tech in 1990, a film marketing company that he used for setting-up a network of national consumer electronic stores from across the country. Starting with “Endless Love”, whose soundtrack became the longest running number-1 hit single in history at that time which was supervised by none other than Adam Fields. And then there was the hit American teen drama series- Dawson Creek starring Katie Holmes for which she won the TV choice actress award for multiple times. But apart from her magical performance, what made this show unique in the teen drama genre was its efficient use of music.

It was Fields again who was responsible for the vast majority of music score in all of its 6 seasons. In fact, the End Credits Theme that he composed for the first season went on to become the end theme for all the seasons.

With a variety of skills at his disposal, Adam Fields was able to curate each scene with a perfectly suitable piece of music to go along with it. Not only did he successfully use the music to arouse feelings and emotions, but was able to give the show a balanced musical aura including the right theme and melody for every character.

The creators as well as fans of Dawson Creek found its music to be so appealing that during its original run itself, two volumes of “Songs from Dawson’s Creek” were already released. Volume I in 1999, which instantly became a huge success worldwide. It sold more than 1.5 million copies and became a certified triple platinum record in Australia and gold in America. Volume II, although not that successful also earned a spot in top 20 in the Austrian and Swiss album charts and 50th in the U.S. billboard 200.

Adam Fields is an American executive and film maker known for some of the most mind-boggling movies of all time. Again, that’s a pretty small account of Fields’ achievements given his long career of about 40 years and counting. Obviously, there are many other fascinating projects that he extensively worked on during his long span of career. One of such stunning examples of Fields’ endeavours is the mind-bending flick- Limitless (2011) starring Bradley Cooper and Robert Di Niro in which he was the executive in charge of production.

Based on the techno-thriller novel “The Dark Fields” by Irish writer Alan Glynn, Limitless is a story of a struggling writer Eddie Morra (Bradley Cooper) who’s well behind the deadline of finishing his book. While striving to make his ends meet, the protagonist is given a synthetic magic pill NZT-48 by his friend that is known to enhance the efficacy of human brain. But the pill that’s unknown to most has its own pros and cons which Eddie quickly finds out the hard way, and from thereon starts the game of cat and mouse with lots of action and imagination.

The movie didn’t take long to become a success both budget wise and in popularity mainly due to its uniquely appealing storyline as well as award-winning star cast including Bradley and Di Niro.

Generating about $161.8 million in its box office collections, it was well over the film’s total budget of $27 million making it an instant success in the $100 million club.

After the success of Limitless, Adam Fields worked in projects such as Bad Santa 2, Sin City 2: A Dame to kill for, and Masterminds among many others.
