Anti-racism refers to the belief and actions taken to eliminate racism, discrimination, and prejudice based on race. It is a movement that seeks to address the systemic and institutionalized inequalities that have historically oppressed marginalized communities, particularly people of color. Anti-racism acknowledges the ways in which racism is embedded in various aspects of society, from education and employment to criminal justice and healthcare. By actively opposing racist attitudes and behaviors, promoting equity and inclusivity, and advocating for policies that prioritize social justice, anti-racism aims to create a more equitable and just world for all. We work to create safe, equitable spaces promoting acceptance for all people through a lens of cultural sensitivity and cooperative understanding. Founded in 2020 during the height of the pandemic and after the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, Anti-Racism In Action, Inc.
