In this first-of-its-kind research conducted in the country, Dr. Sudha Goyal, researcher and associate professor of the Department of Civil Engineering and researchers in Environmental Engineering and Management, Ved Prakash Ranjan and Anuja Joseph, says that within 15 minutes this microplastic layer is melt in reaction to hot water or other drinks.
