The Fall Guys knockoff stumble guys is presently the most popular free iPhone game in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
Kitka Games, based in Finland, released their game Stumble Guys to a limited audience in the months following Fall Guys' August 2020 PS4 and PC release, with a full global release scheduled for January 2021.
AppMagic, a provider of market intelligence, reports that the game had a lackluster year in 2017, but that it has been exploding in popularity as of late (via MobileGamer.biz).
Stumble Guys has broken into the top 10 in the United States and the United Kingdom on Google Play. The software has been downloaded 163 million times since its release and has generated $21.5 million.
The multiplayer knockout game is quite similar to Fall Guys in that it throws players against each other in a series of colorful obstacle courses until only one player is left standing. It also provides a wide range of customization options.
In October 2021, stumble guys online was released for PC. Its developer claims that 18 million users regularly engage with the game.
It was reported that 32.8 million people downloaded Stumble Guys in June, leading to $6.6 million in user spending. The highest single-day number of downloads occurred on June 25, when 1.5 million players did so.
Stumble Guys saw its highest download volume in just four days after Fall Guys became free-to-play earlier this month. On June 21, Fall Guys debuted on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox One X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
Even though the PC version is no longer available for purchase on Steam, all existing purchasers will continue to receive updates and bug fixes.
A mobile adaptation of Fall Guys will be released in China by gaming and entertainment company Bilibili in 2020.
